The Clatford Bell-Ringers @
Upper Clatford & Goodworth Clatford
The Clatford Bell-Ringers generally have their practices on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9pm.
The 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays are at St Peter's, Goodworth Clatford and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays are usually at All Saints', Upper Clatford. This is subject to seasonal variations and it is always wise to check with the Secretary.
Ringing church bells is a traditional English art, the skill being passed down from generation to generation. There are few places outside the Bristish Isles where church bells are rung in this way.
We welcome visitors who just want to come and watch, especially those from overseas who would not have the opportunity to see this in their own country. We are also happy to welcome anyone who wants to come and learn to ring, or anybody who would like to come and have a go without committing themselves.

Once again news of Bellringing is extremely sparse but we live in the hope that soon we shall be back in the ringing chambers - so I thought I would try another pangram instead.
PANGRAM March 2021
All Bellringing Cutdown Despite Efforts From Giving Healthy Individuals Jabs - Keep Listening Monthly Nevertheless Our Purposeful Quest Ringing Soon - Thereafter Usual Vigour With 'Xtra Youthful Zest.
Keep safe and best wishes from all the Clatford Ringers.

Christmas and New Year have been and gone and hardly a sound of a Bell has been heard. We were only able to ring in an even more limited way owing to the restrictions of the Covid situation - so for Midnight at St. Peter's Church, there were 2 of us ringing and on Christmas Day morning at All Saints' Church there were 3.
Now we live in hope that at some stage this year, things will improve and allow us to ring properly. I think I can speak on behalf of all the Clatford Ringers, we are missing our bell ringing enormously and very keen to be back in the ringing chambers and hearing the evocative sounds of the bells.
We hope you had a peaceful time and do look after your selves and keep safe.
Best wishes from all the Clatford Ringers.
